To provide a technique to manufacture a free-standing large-capacity container inexpensively.
The container 10 includes a lower container member 20 and an upper container member 30 which are joined by joint portions 11a to 11d. The container 10 has a containing space 10a formed by a lower container face 23 and an upper container face 33, and lower flanges 22c and 32c. The lower container face 23 has a concave bottom container face 24 at the lower part, which formes a concave bottom face 24a where an article to be contained 400 is fixedly arranged. The container is structured in such a manner that, when at least one of the lower flanges 22c and 32c and the bottom container face 24 are arranged on a horizontal plane, a line perpendicularly projected to a horizontal plane from the gravity center of the container 10 passes an area surrounded by an abutment portion between at least one of the lower flanges 22c and 32c and the horizontal plane and an abutment portion between the bottom container face 24 and the horizontal plane.
