To provide a content selection support apparatus, a content selection support method, and a program to execute the method by computer control by calculating degree of fitting between a request of a user and a content and displaying the degree of fitting.
A content ID and a user ID are input to a system by an input of the user or an appropriate method, a user taste information DB and a content information DB are referred to based on the information of input user ID and the content ID. An appropriate calculation is conducted, a value indicating the degree of fitting between the user and the content is calculated, and a message indicating the degree of fitting is output based on the degree of fitting, then the information about other user can be provided to the user of a terminal device.
