To provide a continuous detoxification treatment system of fibrous asbestos, for example, in an agglomerated material containing fly asbestos of one ton pack charged and compressed especially into a plastic bag, and to provide its method.
The continuous detoxification treatment system of the fibrous asbestos containing agglomerated material is provided with a crushing means 2 to crush and reduce the diameter of the agglomerated material having at least a composite containing fibrous asbestos, an impregnation means 3 to knead the agglomerated material with the reduced diameter together with a reaction liquid containing calcium chloride and/or sodium chloride to impregnate the reaction liquid into the agglomerated material with the reduced diameter and a detoxifying means 4 to cut a chemical bond between Mg and Si in an asbestos compound and to decompose the fibrous asbestos into granule and powder by heating the impregnated agglomerated material with the reduced diameter at a temperature of 600-850C. The device is characterized by arranging all of the crushing means 2, the impregnation means 3 and detoxifying means 4 into sealed atmosphere and by continuously conducting the crushing, impregnation and detoxification.
