To provide a continuously variable transmission capable of inhibiting the distortion of a tensioner arm, and preventing the inclination of a tension roller.
This continuously variable transmission is constituted by wrapping a belt 15 around a driving pulley 11 and a driven pulley 21, mounting a change gear ratio variable mechanism for varying pulley groove widths of both pulleys in the directions opposite to each other, and mounting a tensioner device 50 to obtain the belt tensile force by pressing the belt 15. The tensioner device 50 is provided with the tension roller 51 pressure-contacted with a loosening side of the belt 15, a first tensioner arm 53 supporting the tensioner roller 51, a second tensioner arm 55 having a contact part 55d kept into contact with a back center part of the first tensioner arm 53, and a tension spring 56 for rotating and energizing the second tensioner arm 55 in the direction to press a back face of the first tensioner arm 53.
