Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an electronic-mechanical control device for controlling engagement speed or stroke time of a fluid actuated torque transmission device.

CONSTITUTION: Flow rate is controlled through the coordinated control of supply pressure and an ON/OFF fluid-restricting device. At the start of shift including engagement of a speed control torque transmission device, suitable stroke time is determined by the suitable combination of line pressure and fluid restriction required by shift time. The ON/OFF fluid-restricting device 30 comprises a first orifice 80 constantly existing in a servo supply circuit and a second orifice 86 parallelly, selectively connected with the first orifice via a solenoid actuated reciprocating valve 84.
