Abstract:

To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine compatible in stability in constant speed travel with accelerating performance by suppressing torque fluctuation and rotating speed fluctuation in constant speed travel without fixing the change gear ratio of a continuously variable transmission.

This control device for the internal combustion engine is provided with the continuously variable transmission 24 and executes constant speed travel control of controlling the opening θTH of a throttle valve 14 so that vehicle speed V becomes specified set vehicle speed Vm. The control device is provided with a vehicle speed detecting means 106 for detecting the vehicle speed V; an actuator 70 for driving the throttle valve 14 during constant speed travel control; a control gain determining means 120 for determining the control gain G of the actuator 70 according to the set vehicle speed Vm and detected vehicle speed V; a torque fluctuation detecting means 120 for detecting whether or not the specified torque fluctuation of the internal combustion engine 10 is generated; and a control gain correcting means 120 for correcting the control gain onto the decrease side.
