Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress combustion noise when performing ignition assist self-ignition combustion.SOLUTION: A control device 200 for an internal combustion engine 100 includes a combustion control section for controlling a fuel injection valve 20 and ignition plugs 16, 17 so that when compression self-ignition combustion of pre-mixed air fuel mixture is possible in a predetermined operating region, ignition assist self-ignition combustion for igniting part of fuel by using at least one of the plurality of ignition plugs 16, 17 for flame propagation combustion and by using heat generated at this time, performing pre-mixed compression self-ignition combustion of remaining fuel is generated in a combustion chamber 11. The combustion control section performs the flame propagation combustion by igniting part of the fuel by using one of the plurality of ignition plugs 16, 17 on the low-load side of the operating region, and performs the flame propagation combustion by igniting part of the fuel by using the plurality of ignition plugs 16, 17 on the high-load side of the operating region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
