Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deterioration of combustion when performing control for activating an exhaust emission purification catalyst by superimposing a fuel injection period in an expansion stroke by an in-cylinder injection valve arranged in a combustion chamber in which a tumble flow is generated on an ignition period by an ignitor arranged at a downstream side of a flow direction of the tumble flow.SOLUTION: In each cycle during catalyst warmup control, a ratio (divided injection ratio) of intake stroke injection and expansion stroke injection occupied in a total injection amount is set to a prescribed value. Here, when it is determined that combustion is deteriorated, the cause of the deterioration is specified to be in initial combustion or main combustion, and the divided injection ratio is changed. When the deterioration of the initial combustion is specified, the divided injection ratio is changed so that a ratio of the intake stroke injection is increased. When the deterioration of the main injection is specified, the divided injection ratio is changed so that a ratio of the expansion stroke injection is increased.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
