Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce combustion noise of an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A control device 200 of an internal combustion engine 100 includes a combustion control portion for compressing, self-igniting and burning a fuel by successively executing pre-fuel injection and main fuel injection by a fuel injection valve 20. The combustion control portion calculates a target pre-injection timing of the pre-fuel injection and a target main injection timing of the main fuel injection, estimates a cylinder temperature and a cylinder oxygen concentration in the target pre-injection timing and the main injection timing, calculates a predicted self-ignition timing of the main fuel, calculates an ignition delay time of the pre-fuel, calculates a combustion period of the pre-fuel, calculates a predicted peak timing when a heat quantity per unit crank generated in the combustion of the pre-fuel becomes maximum, and corrects a target pre-injection timing so that the predicted peak timing approaches the predicted self-ignition timing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
