Title:
CONTROL DEVICE OF MOTOR-DRIVEN POWER STEERING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3508702
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the controlling accuracy of a motor current by increasing the accuracy of the analog-digital conversion value of motor current.
SOLUTION: A control device of a motor-driven power steering is equipped with a current sensing circuit 60 and analog-digital converter(ADC) 43 to convert into digital value the motor current flowing actually in a motor 20 to generate a steering assist force and a current controlling means to control the current flowing in the motor in accordance with the digital value of motor current converted, wherein the current sensing circuit 60 amplifies the voltage depending upon the motor current with different amplification factors using a first 61 and a second peak hold circuit 62, and the ADC makes analog-digital conversion of the two voltages amplified VP1 and VP2. In the case the motor current is small, the current controlling means uses the analog-digital converted value of the voltage VP2 amplified with the greater amplification factor to the control of the motor current.
