Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a rotating electric machine, which is capable of attaining cost reduction without causing errors in a PWM comparison signal even if a carrier frequency changes, and is applicable to vehicles.
SOLUTION: This control device for feeding power to the rotating electric machine by switching a power device comprises a controller for computing a current command value based on a torque command value and computing a carrier frequency command value based on a rotor frequency, a triangular wave generation circuit, a comparator for comparing the current command value to the value of an output triangular wave of the triangular wave generation circuit, and an inverter main circuit driven by an output signal of the comparator including the power device. The triangular wave generation circuit makes the amplitude of the triangular wave constant corresponding to the carrier frequency command value to change the carrier frequency of the output triangular wave by changing an up or down gradient.
