A display DSP is provided with the function of a touch panel capable of inputting operation signals for operating the equipment to a computer CPU by touching the specified area of a display screen and switches and displays the screen for equipment control outputted from the computer CPU and video output from a controlled equipment VTR by input switching signals from the computer CPU. That is, the display for operating the equipment and the display of the result of controlling the equipment are displayed by using the one screen of the display DSP together. When the result of controlling the equipment is displayed, the display of a mark for operating the equipment is not performed and the equipment is controlled by touching the specified area of the screen.
