PURPOSE: To balanceably improve grinding accuracy and capacity by obtaining a grinding quantity per unit time and pressing force per unit time from variation of grinding allowance and pressing force of a grinding wheel during grinding, and estimating the grinding accuracy so as to change the grinding condition.
CONSTITUTION: A grinding wheel 1 is vibrated by a grinding wheel vibration mechanism 4 and pressed to a workpiece by a grinding wheel pressing mechanism 5. A workpiece rotation mechanism 3 connected to the workpiece 2 is connected to a rotating speed setter 6, and the grinding wheel vibration mechanism 4 is connected to a frequency setter 7. The grinding wheel pressing mechanism 5 is connected to a pressing force setter 8 and a grinding wheel pressing force measuring device 9. The respective setters 6-8 are respectively connected to a grinding control device 12. Meanwhile, the grinding wheel pressing force measuring device 9 and a size measuring device 10 of the workpiece 2 are respectively connected to a data processing device 11. Then a grinding quantity per unit time and pressing force per unit time are obtained from variation of grinding allowance and pressing force of a grinding wheel during grinding, and the grinding accuracy is estimated so as to change the grinding condition.
