To provide a pearl management system for finding out whether or not a pearl is traded through a regular distribution channel and contributing to improvement in reliability of a high quality pearl.
In a method for performing pearl distribution management with an information input terminal 20 for inputting pearl management information, and a management server 10 for managing the management information transmitted from the information input terminal 20 by utilizing a pearl having a radio IC module built-in, the management server 10 records a unique ID of the radio IC module built in the pearl to be managed in a database (S01). The information input terminal 20 reads out the unique ID from the radio IC module, and inputs the pearl management information for each unique ID (S02) to transmit the unique ID and the management information to the management server 10 (S03). The management server 10 determines whether or not the unique ID transmitted from the information input terminal 20 exists in the database, and when it exists, the management information is stored in the database in association with the unique ID (S04).
