To provide a control method of a printer which does not form a blank part at a leading edge side of a sheet without increasing load of application software, and without requiring application software to cope with the property of the printer, and a printer and a program.
A receipt printer 10 by this invention prints a first top LOGO which is a print image to be printed in a portion of a distance equivalent to a cutter margin from a leading edge of a succeeding sheet, following termination of printing of print image of the present sheet based on a received auto-cut command, and subsequently, the present sheet is separated from a continuous form 20. After performing set processing, the first top LOGO is printed following termination of set processing and the leading edge side of the continuous form 20 is separated from the continuous form 20.
