PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for a slide door, which enables the slide door to be easily operated by an occupant sitting on a seat near a door opening.SOLUTION: When detecting that an occupant 70 sits on a seat 60 near a door opening 4 in the case where a sliding door 2 is in an open state, a door ECU sets an operation standby position Xw on a front side with respect to a rear end position Xr of a seating face 60s constituting the seat 60 near the door opening 4.
