Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a hybrid vehicle, which suppresses the input/output of an excessive electric power to/from a battery in deceleration (when fuel is shut off).
SOLUTION: The control unit 10 judges a fuel shut off state of an engine 1 based on the driving condition at present running, and shut off the fuel to be supplied to the engine 1 with a time lag according to the permissible input/ output power to/from the battery 9, thereby reducing the input/output level to/from the battery 9 caused by the timing lag between the control of a generator and that of a motor.
