PURPOSE: To ensure the running stability by limiting the operation of a torque promotion controlling means when the output of an engine is controlled independently from an accelerator operation amount by an engine output controlling means.
CONSTITUTION: In a period of transition when the running condition is changed with the fluctuation of engine output, a torque promotion controlling means b operates a torque adding means (a) to promote torque. On the other hand, an engine output controlling means c controls autocruise in a specified travelling of a vehicle for example and the engine output independently from an accelerator operation amount in traction control or the like. When a judging means d judges such independent control, the torque promotion control by the torque promotion means b is limited by a torque promotion limiting means e. Thus, the control by the engine output controlling means can be properly carried out to ensure the running stability of a vehicle.
