The LED control unit has a serial/parallel converting means receiving serial signals for lighting control the plurality of the LEDs mounted on a game machine form a controlling device for the game machine and converting the serial signals to parallel signals, a source driver means connecting a predetermined number of bit signals of the parallel signals to the anode side of the plurality of LEDs and selectively supplying anode voltages to the plurality of LEDs, a cathode driver means connecting the other bit signals of the predetermined number of bit signals other than the parallel signals to the cathode sides of the plurality of LEDs and selectively sinking the drive current of the plurality of LEDs.
