Title:
CONTROLLING SYSTEM FOR THRISTORRSTARTED SYNCHRONOUS MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5683280
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To start a synchronous machine smoothly under avoiding a magnetic saturation of a main transformer at initial starting of the synchronous machine by a method wherein a field voltage is decreased when the synchronous machine is started, and then the field voltage is controlled so that a residual magnetic flux density of the main transformer becomes almost zero when it is stopped. CONSTITUTION:To stop a generating operation of a generator-motor 9, a circuit braker 16 is opened to decrease a rotational frequency of the generator-motor, and when it comes to a given rotational speed, a field voltage is decreased slowly to keep a residual magnetic flux of a main transformer 13 almost at zero. When the generator-motor 9 is activated as a motor through thryistor converters 1, 2, the field voltage is set at 1/2 or below of (main transfomer saturated magnetic flux density)/ (main transformer rated magnetic flux density) until it reaches a set speed, thereby starting the generator-motor 9 smoothly under avoiding a magnetic saturation of the main transformer 13 at initial starting.
