Abstract:
The modular urban transport vehicle includes one or more self-propelled carriages, connected via a remote control system to the drivers module. The number of modules may be increased or decreased according to passenger demand. Each module includes its own compressed air, motor, and brake system. The modular urban and suburban transport vehicle includes one or more self-propelled transport modules (1,3,4) driven by compressed air motor alternators or motor-compressors. The modules are positioned one after the other like the carriages of a train, and connected via a remote control system to a driving module where the driver is located. The number of modules may be increased or decreased according to passenger capacity requirements. Each module includes its own reserves of stored energy and compressed air, transmission motor assembly, and brake system. Each module also includes a steering system which is remotely controlled by the steering system of the driving module, which in turn is operated by the driver. The driver has controls for television viewing of each module, for heating, door opening and other functions. A remote control system may include a wire guidance system.
