Abstract:

To provide the D/A converter whose power consumption is reduced and a discharge period is reduced altogether.

One-side terminals of input capacitors C1-Cn connect to a 1st reference voltage point Vr1 in response to a digital value going to be analog- converted. An inverting input of a differential amplifier circuit 1 between the inverting input and an output of which a feedback capacitor CF is interposed, and whose noninverting input receives a 2nd reference voltage Vr2 connects to the other terminals of the input capacitors. The input capacitors and the feedback capacitor CF are charged in opposite polarity for an output period and an analog voltage in response to a digital value is outputted from the output of the differential amplifier circuit 1 and the input capacitors C1-Cn and the feedback capacitor CF are connected in parallel for a discharge period to discharge charges in the input capacitors, then the stored charges are discharged independently of application of a reference voltage from the differential amplifier circuit 1 and the charges are discharged without increasing the current consumption.
