Title:
ANALOG/DIGITAL CONVERTER HAVING TOTALLY-PARALLEL BI-CMOS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01307318
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To exactly transmit a high-speed analog signal by using a bipolar transistor, which has satisfactory offset characteristics and high throughput for analog signals, for a comparing means to compare the analog input signal with a reference voltage. CONSTITUTION: A terminal for supplying a voltage VTOP is connected through node N12 to the inverted input terminals (-) of comparators CPi-n to CPi+n divided by distributed resistors from R1 to RN and from R1 ' to RN←', and a terminal for supplying an analog input signal Vin is connectecd through a node N11 to the non-inverted input terminals (+). These comparators, CPi-n to CPi+n, are composed of bipolar transistors having comparatively satisfactory offset characteristics and the high throughput for analog signals. Thus, the high-speed bipolar type analog signal can be precisely transmitted.
