Abstract:
To reduce the weight of an already conveyed manuscript 12 applied to a tip of a succeeding manuscript 12, when the tip of the succeeding manuscript 12 is caused to slide into under the already conveyed manuscript 12.SOLUTION: In the case where a number exceeding a number threshold value Nth, of manuscripts 12 are continuously conveyed onto an ADF discharge tray 34 from an ADF manuscript tray 33, a scanner part 3 supports a number up to the number threshold value Nth, of the manuscripts 12 on each upper surface of a first member 34A, a second member 34B, and the ADF manuscript tray 33. On the other hand, in order to allow the manuscripts 12 after the number threshold value Nth+1 thereof to pass through a gap G1 and below the second number 34B, the scanner part 3 supports them on each upper surface of the first member 34A and the ADF tray 33 without using the second member 34B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
