The cooker includes: a heating chamber 2 for heating cooked objects wherein a placing part 4 for placing cooked objects thereon is disposed; a temperature sensor 13 for detecting the temperature on the placing part 4; and a door 3 for opening/closing the heating chamber 2 by the drive of the door driving part 23. The temperature on the placing part 4 is monitored by the temperature sensor 13 after the completion of cooking and the door 3 is closed by the door driving part 23 when a predetermined time passes after the temperature on the placing part 4 has dropped below a predetermined temperature after opening the door 3.
