PURPOSE: To make heat distribution on a cooking surface uniform, and to enable the temperature to be quickly raised or lowered by directly providing a cooking utensil with a plane heating element of a small heat capacity.
CONSTITUTION: On the inner and outer surfaces of a pan 11, an enamel layer 13 is formed with an enamel material, and on the outer surface of the pan 11 or on the enamel layer 13 on the outer surface of the pan 11, heating parts 15 consisting of a continuous belt-shaped heating element which is nearly evenly arranged on the entire surface thereof are formed to make heat distribution uniform. Further, on each of the respective heating parts 15, a thin electricity- insulating layer 19 is formed, and the electricity-insulating layer 19 is extended up to the surface of the enamel layer 13. Accordingly, each of the heating parts 15 is in such a state that it has been electrically insulated between the enamel layer 13 and the electricity-insulating layer 19. In addition, since the electricity-insulating layer 19 is formed so as to have a thin thickness to reduce its heat capacity, temperature drop can be enabled to be quickly carried out.
