Title:
COOLING DEVICE FOR INFRARED RAY BURNER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6233211
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To realize efficient cooling of a burner and prevent the front surface of the burner from being exposed to a surplus heat after extinction by a method wherein when the infrared ray burner extinguishes its flame, a suction device for sucking surrounding air through a combustion chamber of the burner is installed.

CONSTITUTION: Infrared ray burners 2 and 2 provided with a cooling device 1 are arranged at both sides with a dried-product passage 3 being held therebetween, and a dryer device 4 is constituted by a pair of infrared ray burners 2 and 2 and a moving device. The infrared ray burners 2 are formed by thin-walled steel plate, and a combustion plate 11 made of porous ceramic material is arranged at the front surface of the burner main body provided with a horizontally elongated combustion chamber 10 extending along the passage 3. An air passage 36 made of a steel pipe of rectangular section is installed at an outer circumference of the burner main body. Supplying of mixed gas stops and the burner 2 extinguishes the flame, when at the same time either a hot combustion gas or air within the combustion chamber 10 is discharged by an air-supplying hose 65. The cooling is continued to be supplied to the air passage 36 through air hose 62. In this way, since an air flow of a direction opposite to that found in case of combustion is generated in the combustion chamber, the dried product is not influenced by a surplus heat of the burner 2.
