Abstract:
To provide a cooling device and a projector, allowing for suppression of decrease in cooling efficiencies thereof.SOLUTION: The cooling device comprises an evaporation unit, a condensation unit, a steam tube and a liquid tube, the evaporation unit includes: a housing which is connected to the liquid tube and into which a liquid-phase working fluid flows; a wick which is provided inside the housing, and into which a liquid-phase working fluid permeates and which transports a liquid-phase working fluid; a reservoir which is provided inside the housing, and stores the liquid-phase working fluid having flowed into the housing; a groove having a plurality of passages in which a working fluid having changed from liquid phase to gas phase flows, the groove being connected to the wick; and a sealing member provided in the housing. The housing includes a first housing in which the reservoir is provided and a second housing in which the wick and the groove area provided, and the sealing member is composed of the same metal material as the housing and/or the wick and provided in contact with the wick, and seals a gap between the first and second housings.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
