Abstract:
To provide a cooling system having an excellent energy efficiency.
The cooling system comprises a first closed cooling circuit 17 containing a first cooling medium, and a second cooling circuit 18 containing a second cooling medium. The two cooling circuits are connected with each other through a cascade heat exchanger 5. The heat exchanger 5 is provided with a first condenser and a second evaporator disposed in such a manner that the first condenser is cooled by evaporation of the second liquid cooling medium in the second evaporator. The first liquid cooling medium of the system is constituted almost of CO2 and its that a distinct feature a first evaporator 3 works at a pressure higher than about 827.4 kPa (approximately 120 psig).
