PURPOSE: To reduce an installation cost and an operation cost for a cooling and ventilating device for a bus by a method wherein a ventilating mechanism for air in the car, a heat-exchanger unit for cooling and a fan for forcible diffusion are integralized into a small size and a necessary number thereof are distributed and arranged at a ceiling of a passenger room.
CONSTITUTION: A necessary number of cooling and ventilating devices 1 are installed at a ceiling R of a bus while a compressor, a condensor and the like necessary for compressing and cooling a cooling medium are installed in an engine room. Respective cooling and ventilating devices 1 are equipped with outer air sucking ports 2 at fore portions thereof and inner air discharging ports 3 at aft portions thereof while top portions thereof are covered with detachable inspection lids 4. A cross-flow fan 5 for forcible diffusion, a heat-exchanger unit 8 for room-cooling and the like are accommodated within the device. Further, the sucking port 2 and the discharging port 3 are provided with shutters 9, 10 which are enabled to be opened or closed independently by geared motors 15, 16 through cranks 13, 14 or the like. Said respective elements 5, 8, 15, 16 may be controlled by a switch 18 equipped at a driving seat.
