Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the degradation of a composition by ultraviolet radiation by mixing a copper source with a composition of a linear polyethylene and a photodegradable pigment.
CONSTITUTION: A composition comprises a copper source as the stabilizer for preventing the degradation of a linear ethylene polymer, a photodegradable pigment and a composition by ultraviolet radiation. As the photodegrdable pigment, anatase is most effective. As the linear ethylene polymer, a high density polyethylene or a linear low density polyethylene is used. As the copper source, it is preferred to mix at least 300 ppm of a copper (II) salt.
