To use a thermostabilizing microcapsule containing a heat absorbing crystal compound for protecting a cosmetic or a medicine composition against an action of heat change.
A thermostabilizing microcapsule containing at least one crystal compound exhibiting 75-330 kJ/kg melt enthalpy (ΔHf) measured by differential scanning calorimetry so as to protect a cosmetic or a medicine from an action of heat change is used. This cosmetic or medicine composition contains the thermostabilizing microcapsule. The microcapsule contains preferably a partially or wholly crystalline compound in a coating free from leakage and absorbs a large amount of heat known as a latent heat of fusion when heated to a temperature close to the melting point of the compound. Consequently, the temperature of the present environment of the microcapsule can be automatically controlled in a temperature range close to the melting point of the compound regardless of the change of external temperature for a fixed time.
