Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL: A compound of formula I (R1 is H or cyano; R2 is phenyl substd. by nitro, cyano, etc., in the 2-, 4- or 5-position, or thiazolyl substd. by Cl, cyano, etc., in the 2-, 4- or 5-position; R3 is H, C1-4 alkyl or C1-4 alkoxycarbonyl-C1-4 alkyl; R4 is H, C1-4 alkyl or phenylsulfonyl).
EXAMPLE: 7-Methylamino-3-(4-aminophenyl)-coumarin.
USE: Useful for dyeing physiologically active substances.
PROCESS: A compound of formula II is reacted with a compound of formula III (R5 is cyano, C1-4 alkoxycarbonyl or carboxyl).
