Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make compact and heavy a counter weight provided in a body of construction machinery such as a hydraulic excavator, a self loader, a bulldozer, a wheel loader, and a crawler type loader, agricultural machinery, a work machine, or the like, and to improve the appearance of the counter weight.
SOLUTION: In the compact, heavy, and inexpensive counter weight having the degree of freedom and versatility in manufacture, an outer surface member 50 for covering the entire circumference of the outer surface of the skeleton 40 of the counter weight 14 made of a heavy object is composed of a press- formed rear shell plate 51 and a front shell plate 52 that is welded and joined to the front side of the rear shell plate 51; the front shell plate 52 is divided into body left and right front shell plates 52A and 52B consisting of a nearly plane plate, and a center front shell plate 54 having upper and lower bending plate sections 54U, 54L that are extended from own upper and lower sections toward the rear outer shell plate 51 and are welded and joined to the upper and lower sections U and 51L of the front side section of the rear shell plate 51.
