Abstract:
PURPOSE: To disclose a means which utilizes a chaos phenomenon as to the update of the coupling coefficient of neural network.
CONSTITUTION: The coupling coefficient updating means consist of a storage means 2 which holds a coupling coefficient wij(n) before update, a nonlinear transforming means 1 which nonlinearly transforme a variation quantity δwij(n) for updating the coupling coefficient wij(n), and an adding means 3 which calculates the sum of the signal G{δwij(n)} obtained from the nonlinear transforming means 1 and the coupling coefficient wij(n) before update obtained from the storage means 2, and a chaoslike variation element is added to calculate a coupling coefficient wij(n+1) to be updated.
