PURPOSE: To improve the operating efficiency of the pavement works of a road by eliminating the need for repair works at the time of the completion inspection of the pavement works of the road.

CONSTITUTION: Three projecting sections 11 formed to the rear of the cover body 10 of a cover 10 for a manhole are inserted among three notch sections 9 formed to the outer circumference of a discoidal-shaped cast iron cover 3 held into a cylindrical-shaped frame 2 installed to the uppermost section of the manhole for a sewerage and the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder section 5 of the frame 2, and the cover 1 for the manhole is fixed onto the surface of the cast iron cover 3 under the state, in which the whole surface of the cast iron cover 3 is covered with the cover body 10. Accordingly, the cover 1 for the manhole is not turned up and is not slipped off during the operation of the pavement works of a road R, thus preventing the adhesion of an asphalt mixture on the surface of the cast iron cover 3.
