PURPOSE: To improve sanitary conditions and impressions of a high grade without staining clothes by sizzling of sauce and oil caused by cooked foodstuffs, by a method wherein both a top panel part which has a plane area almost equal or more to a plane area of a vessel holding or placing the cooked foodstuffs and a side wall part which covers the cooked foodstuffs or the vessel by hanging from the periphery of the top panel part, are provided.

CONSTITUTION: A cooked foodstuff cover 1 is relatively soft and has a shape-keeping property and is formed using a sheet, such as paper, cloth or nonwoven fabric, with a moisture or water-absorbing property. A top panel part 2 and a side wall part 4 hanging diagonally downward from a periphery 3 of the top panel part 2, are formed by a shaping device, such as a die press. The top panel part 2 is, for example, formed in the shape of an ellipse, and a vessel 6 holding or placing cooked foodstuffs and the whole of a placing stand 7 therefor are placed on a table T. For covering them, the top panel part 2 is so formed as to have a plane area almost equal or more to a plane area of the vessel 6. On the top panel part 2, a rib R crossing it almost at the center thereof is formed. The side wall part 4 has a height enough to cover the whole of the cooked foodstuffs 5 when the cooked foodstuff cover 1 is covered on the cooked foodstuffs 5.
