To provide a crawler vehicle improved in straight travelling performance, turnable in accordance with operator's feeling without turning in a direction opposite to the operation direction of a turning means even when a rotational error occurs in a pair of hydraulic continuously variable transmissions.
The crawler type traveling vehicle is provided with a transmission having left and right hydraulic continuously variable transmissions for driving left and right crawler traveling devices independently, and a switching mechanism switching the left and right crawler traveling devices to a connection driving state at the time of straight traveling, and switching them to an independent driving state at the time of turning by the operation of a turning means is provided in the transmission. When the turning operation is started by the turning means, the hydraulic continuously variable transmission for driving the crawler traveling device in the inner side of turning is decelerated slightly, and then the switching mechanism is operated to switch the left and the right crawler traveling devices to the independent driving state, and the hydraulic continuously variable transmission in the inner side of turning is decelerated to a speed corresponding to the operation position of the turning means.
