PURPOSE: To facilitate driving operation by discontinuing creep preventive control when a time from brake-off to next brake-on is below a preset value.
CONSTITUTION: When a time from brake-off to next brake-on is below a preset time t1 (ten seconds, e.g.), judgement that speed is finely adjusted by brake operation is made to prohibit a shift to a neutral state for precluding creep preventive control. As a result, in case that the active use of a creep phenomenon is intended in conjunction with brake operation, the condition that the occurrence of creep is restrained is avoided. It is thus possible for a driver to freely adjust and keep various crawling states, slower than a creeping speed, with brake operated amount and to perform easy-to-drive operation.
