When a brake pedal is released in an idle operation state, the start clutch is engaged to allow the creep run, and an idle correction air amount is corrected according to the engagement capacity torque of the start clutch. Also, the transfer to the creep run is determined by detecting the depressed amount of the brake pedal and a speed in the change of the depressed amount to correct the idle correction air amount according to the depressed amount and the speed in the change before the running is transferred to the creep run.
