Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an ophthalmoscope examination device which enables an examiner to observe a specific deep section inside the eye to be examined by sight and to utilize the experiences obtained with an ordinary ophthalmoscope as much as possible. CONSTITUTION: This ophthalmoscope examination device consists of a crevice light to project stenopeic light spots on the eye 25 to be examined, at least one objective lens 4, at least two eyepieces 16a, 16b, and a microscope with at least one light path extending between the objective lens 4 and the eyepieces 16a, 16b. The device has also a diaphragm plate 31 with many transparent and opaque areas inside or near a middle image plane in the light path, so that the transparent areas are made to scan the image on the middle image plane.
