Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a cross-linkable resin composition comprising a specific carboxyl group-containing resin, a specific siloxy group-containing silicone and an organic solvent, and useful as a raw material for coating materials, coating agents, etc., excellent in weather acid, solvent resistances, etc.
CONSTITUTION: This composition comprises (A) a carboxyl group-containing resin having a number-average mol. wt. of 1000-40000 and an acid value of 10-400mg KOH/g and containing carboxyl groups (preferably at least one of an acrylic resin, a polyester resin and a fluorine-containing resin) as a main agent, (B) a cyclic or linear silicone compound having a number-average mol. wt. of 350-8000, containing at least two of a carboxyl group and a reactive epoxy group in the molecule, not containing a silanol group, a hydrolyzable silyl group and a vinylic polymer structure, and having siloxy groups of formula I (n is 3-20) and formula II as a curing agent, and (C) an organic solvent as a main component.
