Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and surely perform processing with a sufficient drop amount (crowning amount) even at the crowning of an extremely small curvature radius R.SOLUTION: In a crowning method which uses a through-feed super finishing machine, presses a workpiece W which is conveyed by a feed roller to a grindstone S, and applies crowning to an end part of the workpiece W by reciprocating the grindstone S, the grindstone S is fixed to a free end D of a link mechanism 30, and the grindstone S is oscillated in a plane in which the workpiece W draws a moving trajectory.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
