PURPOSE: To properly apply grinding work on a glass goods surface by dividing a diamond carrying element through grooves to fix an abrasive material coat to the surface of a grinding wheel at these divided positions.

CONSTITUTION: In a rotating shaft LL', an abrasive material coated layer 3 is formed by a diamond carrying element 2 composed of a diamond particle symmetrically extending and made into a block state by the binder of a metal or an organism. This element 2 is divided by grooves 5, and there the layer 3 is fixed to at least one portion of the surface of a grinding wheel 1. Moreover the size of the diamond particle is made 1-100 microns.
