Abstract:
PURPOSE: To automatically form the natural and smooth transition actions between finger language words with the finger language synthesizing device for forming finger language by connecting the action patterns of the finger language previously stored in word units.
CONSTITUTION: A word pattern detecting section 4 reads the action patterns of the finger language words corresponding to inputted word strings out of a finger language word dictionary 2 and determines the speeds of the hands at the beginning and end points of the respective finger language words and the distances between the adjacent words. An interpolation processing section 5 calculates the duration time of the transition, the speeds of the hands, the shapes of the hands and the changes of directions in accordance with the distances between the words.
