To provide a light cushioning material with excellent cushioning performance, durability, permeability, and recycling performance for dumping, by laminating a specific fiber structure and a resin foam body on the material.
A resin foam body B is laminated on an upper fiber structure A and then heated to fuse the laminating interface C together. The upper fiber structure A must have 0.02-0.15 g/cm3 of apparent density. The resin foam body B, the other component of the cushioning material, is a closed cell type thermoplastic foam body and must have an uneven shape on the laminating interface with the fiber structure A. It is important that the thermoplastic polymer to form the fiber structure A and the thermoplastic resin to form the foam body are to be constituted of a same line of polymers. It is also important to use a hot melt adhesive composed of a polymer of the same line for thermal fusion of the structure and the foam body even if a hot melt adhesive is used.
