PURPOSE: To facilitate treatment of materials after cutting work, by cutting a long sized rod material by a rotatable cutting drum equipped with two or more fixed cylindrical edges on a circumference.

CONSTITUTION: Two or more cylindrical edges 8 are furnished at a cutting drum 6 on its circumference, which are rotated round a shaft 7 with respect to a fixed edge 5. The cutting drum 6 is driven intermittently, in which it stops where the fixed cylindrical edge 5 is situated facing the cylindrical edge 8, and a rod material is set in a cylinder formed by the edges 5 and 8. After insertion the cutting drum 6 is driven to cut the material 3. The cut material 4 remains in the edge 8, and then moves downward following rotation of the drum 6. Accordingly materials cut are stored in good condition.
