PURPOSE: To feed cutting lubricant by means of a tool through method by providing a cutting lubricant feed block, and thereby cutting a work in a state that a cutter is engaged with a cutting lubricant feed port of the cutting lubricant feed block.
CONSTITUTION: A cutting lubricant feed block 2 is provided, which is composed of parts quite independent from a spindle 4 and a tool holder 3. Cutting is performed in a state that a cutter 1 is engaged with the cutting lubricant feed port 21 of the block 2. In this case, it is desirable that the cutting lubricant feed block 2 is so mechanized as to be subjected to force directed to a spindle 4 at all times in a state that the block is fixed onto a slider 25, or the block 2 is so mechanized as to be moved together with the spindle 4 in a range of the movement of the cutter in an area lower than a place where the cutter 1 is engaged with the cutting lubricant feed port 21.
