Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain only the edge component of a video signal required substantially.
CONSTITUTION: A signal from an input terminal 1 is fed to a subtractor 3 via a delay circuit 2 with a unit delay (Z-1) and a signal from the input terminal 1 is fed to a delay circuit 5 with a unit delay (Z-1) via the fixed contact A of a switch 4. A signal from the delay circuit 5 is fed to the subtractor 3 and fed to the delay circuit 5 via the fixed contact B of the switch 4. Then a signal from the subtractor 3 is fed to a filter 6. Moreover, the signal from the filter 6 is extracted at an output terminal 7. Then a signal from a terminal 8 indicating a horizontal blanking period (HBLK) in the filter is fed to the delay circuits 2, 5 and the circuits 2, 5 are cleared during the period. The switch 4 is connected to the fixed contact A at the initial part of the video signal to be required and subsequently to it the switch 4 is changed over to the position of the fixed contact B.
