To easily form a cooling water passage, and to properly perform the control of a temperature of each part, in a cylinder head of an engine.
A cylinder head 1 is formed with a cooling water passage by casting and enclosing first, second and third pipe members 8, 9 and 10. By this, a conventional water jacket core becomes unnecessary, and a process for manufacturing the cylinder head can be simplified, and casting failures caused by the breakage of a sand core can be reduced. According to the temperature state in each cooled part of the cylinder head 1, shapes and diameters of the first, second and third pipe members 8, 9 and 10, a piping route and a flow rate of the cooling water can be properly set, and proper cooling is performed to improve the performance of the engine.
